Abstract
Executing Mega Linepipe Programmes examines large-scale linepipe supply as a continuity and control problem across repeated manufacturing, inspection, documentation and delivery states, rather than simply as a question of nominal mill capacity.
The paper develops an author-created Batch-to-Berth Control Architecture for long-duration linepipe programmes. The architecture connects eight control states: technical baseline, qualification-to-rate gate, material and campaign sequencing, repeatability signals, evidence-to-release flow, secondary-process throughput, shipment cadence, and deviation/change containment.
Its central proposition is that a mega linepipe programme succeeds only when accepted technical intent is preserved across repeated batches and shipments. As programme scale increases, so do the number of heats, shifts, inspection lots, coating batches, documentation packages, logistics interfaces and change events that must remain mutually consistent.
